Objectives for Pharmacists

•       Outline the 2023 GOLD recommended pharmacotherapies for inpatient acute COPD exacerbations

•       Describe how treatment for patients with features of asthma and COPD differs from COPD treatment without features of asthma

•       Review evidence-based interventions to reduce future COPD exacerbations

Objectives for Pharmacy Technicians

•       Identify short-acting bronchodilators utilized during COPD exacerbations

•       Recognize the effect smoking cessation has on mortality in COPD patients

•       List vaccinations recommended for COPD patients by the 2023 GOLD report
