Presentation Objectives for Pharmacists:

• 1.       Recall the use of thrombolysis for the initial management of acute ischemic stroke, including current guideline recommendations
• 2.       Identify the differences in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics between alteplase (tPA) and tenecteplase (TNK)
• 3.       Review the current literature supporting the use of tenecteplase for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke
