Presentation Objectives for Pharmacists:

  • 1.      Identify indications for and components of parenteral nutrition (PN)
  • 2.      Describe methods of assessing body composition
  • 3.      Calculate macronutrient needs for patients with obesity
  • 4.      Discuss metabolic alterations in patients with obesity and renal or hepatic dysfunction

Presentation Objectives for Pharmacy Technicians:

  • 1.      List indications for and components of parenteral nutrition (PN)
  • 2.      Describe methods of assessing body composition
  • 3.      List metabolic alterations in patients with obesity and renal or hepatic dysfunction
