Presentation Objectives for Pharmacists:

  • 1.      Review background information on COVID-19
  • 2.      Explain the proposed pathophysiology of hypercoagulability in COVID-19
  • 3.      Examine the significance of an elevated D-dimer in COVID-19
  • 4.      Analyze primary literature, expert opinions, and current guidelines on anticoagulant dosing in COVID-19
  • 5.      Synthesize an anticoagulation plan for a patient with COVID-19 based on primary literature, expert opinions, and current guidelines
