Register for the 2021 Virtual Virginia Patient Safety Summit on Feb. 25

The need for social distancing during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic isn’t stopping the VHHA Center for Healthcare Excellence from hosting the tenth annual Virginia Patient Safety Summit as a virtual event. The virtual summit – it will celebrate 10 years of statewide collaboration on patient and staff safety, quality, and patient experience improvement work – is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 and is free for all participants. No-cost registration is now available through this link. The summit traces its roots to 2011 when VHHA pursued legislation to recognize “Virginia Patient Safety Day” to raise awareness of quality and safety improvement initiatives led by Virginia hospitals. That year, the Virginia General Assembly passed a resolution recognizing Feb. 2 as “Virginia Patient Safety Day.
